NAM stands for Non-Aligned Movement.Non -alignment is an independent movement that enables each nation to follow its own policies by neither joining any super-power bloc nor coming under their influence.Non-Aligned Movement started in 1956 by signing the Declaration of Brijuni on 19 July 1956. Jawaharlal Nehru and Joseph Broz Tito of Yugoslavia were the main architects of the NAM. Presently, there are 120 nation members of NAM.
