Copper is mainly found in Juhujhunu and Alwar districts (Rajasthan), Balghat district (Madhya Pradesh), Singbhum district (Jharkhand). In addition small deposits are found in Karnataka, Gujrat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya,Maharashtra, West Bengal and Bihar,
Some of the uses of Copper are :
  1. It is employed in construction industries due to its water proof behaviour.
  2. Due to its high ductility, it is used for industrial purpose. It is commonly used in shipbuilding. 
  3. It is used for wiring and electrical equipments.
