Unfortunately, man in his greed for materialistic happiness and pleasures has wreaked havoc on the natural resources of the planet. As a result the rate of exploitation of these resources became more than their natural regeneration. This led to a huge gap between consumption of the resources and their replenishment. Mass deforestation, fishing, harvesting, unplanned agricultural practices, extraction of minerals from the mines, etc. have jeopardized the natural balance of the planet. The life system on the planet has been threatened with annihilation. ?
All of us have the responsibilities to preserve the natural beauty and purity of our planet. That is possible only if we live wisely and follow the principles of sustainable development. Switzerland, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, New Zealand, etc. are the best examples of sustainable development.
