- Munna Lal is a farmer of a small village, Adilabad of Uttar Pradesh which is situated in the district Ghazipur.
- He has farmland of 1.5 hectares for which he purchases HYV seeds to yield more crops from the nearby market.
- In his field, two crops are easily grown like rice or wheat and the pulses in a year as the soil are fertile.
- He adopts farming practices advised by his friends, government agricultural officers, elders, etc.
- He rents a tractor for ploughing his field, though it is observed that ploughing with the help of hand or bullocks is still practiced in that village.
- For irrigation purposes, Munna Lal takes rent of the nearby tubewell.
- He also focuses on livestock farming along with agriculture for which he has few hens and two buffaloes.
- As he belongs to the co-operative society, Munna Lal can understand which type of fodder is safe for his animals and how to protect the health of his livestock to have a good amount of milk every year.
