Hi. The adaptations of the polar bear to live in cold places are as follows :-

1. The white fur is not easily visible in the snowy white background - It's predator and prey are unable to see it.

2. It has two thick layers of fur - This keeps it warm in cold weather.

3. It has a layer of fat under it's skin - The fat insulates it's body from cold and keeps it warm.

4. It has long curved and sharp claws - These help it to walk on ice.

5. It has a very strong sense of smell - It helps the bear to locate and catch its prey.

Polar bear is a type of bear which  lives in extreme cold climate in the polar regions.The following are some  adaptations of polar bear :-

  1.  Polar bear has thick fur which protect it from escaping to the extreme cold surroundings.
  2. Polar has a layer of fat under its skin to keep itself warm  in extreme cold climate.
  3. The polar bear is white  in colour due to the adaptation and habit of livingin Polar Regions. The white colour helps the polar bear to protect itself from the enemy.
  4. The polar bear has a very strong sense of smell to find its prey . EG. The polar bear usually eats fishes .
  5. The polar bear has very wide, large and sharp claws  to walk properly on snow .

The polar bears are usually found in Arctic regions and Polar Regions like Antatica , Greenland , Iceland etc. The Polar bear usually looks big and white in colour. It eats fishes and catches its own prey. Some more animals living  in Polar regions are Penguins, Arctic Foxes, Seals , whales , Snow Leopard , Hill Goats, yak, Siberian Crane, Arctic Tern etc.
