Write the classification of mechanical energy

Mechanical energy is the energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position and motion.
There are two kinds of mechanical energies,
• Stored Mechanical energy (Potential energy)
Energy of the body because of its position.
PE of a body of mass m at a height h from the surface of earth is, mgh. (g is earths acceleration due to gravity)
Energy of the body because of its position.

• Motion Mechanical energy (Kinetic energy)
