wt is the difference between abiogenesis and biogenesis

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

Abiogenesis is the study of how living organisms are formed from inanimate matter. Alexander Oparin gave a theory of how life originated from non-living matter. Alexander Oparin proposed that living cells arose gradually from non-living matter through a sequence of chemical reactions. Oparin said that a "Primordial soup" of simple organic molecules could be created in an oxygen-less atmosphere of primitive earth through the action of sunlight. These compounds would subsequently self-assemble into increasingly complex molecules such as proteins. These, in turn, would organise themselves into living cells.

Biogenesis means originating of life from other living forms. The theory or law of biogenesis was proposed by Louis Pasteur. He proposed that all life originated from pre-existing life like fishes laid eggs giving rise to more fishes.

Abiogenesis

Abiogenesis is an ancient belief about the origin of life. This is also known as thetheory of spontaneous generation of life. The theory of abiogenesis stated that the origin of living organism is due to nonliving substances, or it is a spontaneous incident. However, until now scientists have been unable to accomplish this theory by experiments.

Biogenesis

Biogenesis is the currently accepted theory regarding the origin of a new life. Thetheory of biogenesis states that the origin of life is because of preexisting living cells or an organism. Louis Pasteur, Francesco Reddy, and Lazzaro Spallanzani experimentally proved this theory.
