On 1st of March, two ships collided with each other at the Mumbai port. Both the ships were cargo ships, which were carrying tons of oil. There has been a great loss of property due to the accident. The total losses have been estimated at rupees 15 crore. Several crew members have been injured, though none died. The accident was witnessed by several onlookers at the port, who were frightened out of their wits when they say the mishap occur. The port authorities are trying to determine what was the cause of the accident and the reason behind the lack of coordination between the two ships. Meanwhile, many fishes are feared to die due to the oil spill.
