It has to do with the inherent delay in a satellite transmission (also it is not transmitted at the speed of light due to the electrical resistance of the wires and the broadcast of the signal through the atmosphere). I'm sure you've seen a satellite transmission of a news interview where there's a couple second delay between the two people.Now if you want to calculate the time then use the formula S =vt , then put the data and you will also see thatthe time taken by the second man is greater than the time taken by the first man .
