You are given three materials in the form of solution-citric acid, magnesium hydroxide and sodium sulphate. Using purple cabbage juice solution, how will you classify the given substances as acidic , basic and neutral?

Its red cabbage indicator. In neutral, it remains red. In acidic, I think it changes to purple and in basic it changes to blue.

Citric acid is an acid, so first we put the citric acid in the solution if it turns red colour it means the nature  the substance is acidic. If we put magnesium hydroxide which is a base if it turns into blue colour, it means the nature of the substance Is bbasic. At last we have sodium sulphate which is a neutral substance, we put sodium sulphate , if the substance remains in It's own it means the substance is neither acidic nor basic.
