They constitute 2-4% of the total WBC They constitute 0-1% of the total WBC. The most abundant type of granulocyte (65%). 
The nucleus is bilobed The nucleus is bilobed They have multi-lobed nucleus. 
They are involved in infections and allergic reactions. They releases toxins to kill the parasites. The granules in the basophil contain histamine, which help in the inflammator response, when tissue gets damage. Histamine dilates the blood vessels at the site of damage and are also involved in allergies.  They have role in killing the foreign bacterial cell in the body. They kill the bacteria by phagocytosis. They are the first WBC which appears at the damage site in the body. They also releases a super oxide burst to kill many bacteria at once.
