You have a coil and a bar magnet, you can produce an electric current by moving

a) The coil, but not the magnet.

b) Either the magnet or the coil or both

c) Neither the magnet nor the coil,

d) The magnet, but not the coil

Dear student,

Electric current can be produced by either moving a coil or a bar magnet and hence e.m.f is induced.
So, option (B) Either the magnet or the coil or both is the correct option.

This is called Faraday’s laws of electromagnetic induction which states that when a magnetic flux linked with the coil changes, there’s an emf that is induced in the coil. and this magnetic flux can be changed by either moving the magnet or coil.
