You have studied

mitosis in onion root
tip cells. It has 14
chromosomes in
each cell. Can you
tell how many
chromosomes will
the cell have at G1
phase, after S phase,
and after M phase?
Also, what will be the
DNA content of the
cells at G1, after S
and at G2, if the
content after M
phase is 2C?
pls answer fast

at G1 it will have 14 chromosomes

S also 14 chromosomes

G2 also 14 chromosomes

after M phase 7 chromosomes

The DNA content will be 2C at G1

and it will be 4C at G2 and S phase

oops sorry even after M phase it will be 14 chromosomes since mitosis is equational division

The chromosomes number will be 28 in G2 phase.

Please refer to this answer ignore the forst two.

at G1 it will have 14 chromosomes

S also 14 chromosomes

G2 28 chromosomes

after M phase 14 chromosomes

The DNA content will be 2C at G1
