Zn, Cd, and Hg are not regarded as transition elements and why Uub is  regarded as transition elements

an element is said to be transition element if it has vacant d - orbitals or half-filled d orbitals.

Zn,Cd,Hg are not regarded as true transition metals as they donot have vacant d-orbital, rather they have fully filled d-orbital i.e. d orbital configuration.

i think ,Uub is also having fully filled d orbital

uub is not yet found. it is not an element yet.
When it'll be found maybe then it won't be considered a transition metal anymore,

Zn,Cd,Hg though have completely filled d-orbital come under transition elements due to presence of an outermost d-orbital configuration

they have completely filled d orbital !

uub is not completely known but just it has its last e in d orbital so its known as transition metal whereas others have completely filled d orbital
  • 1
Bcoz it has fully filled d-orbitals
  • -2
because there elements have completely filled d-orbital
and transition elements have partially filled d-orbital

Zn, Cd ,hg are not considered as transition elements because they do not have partially filled d orbital either in ground state or any stable oxidation state
