AIPMT Retest 2015 Solutions and Paper Analysis

Medical aspirants appeared for AIPMT 2015 Retest on 25th July, 2015, to seek admission into state and national level medical colleges for MBBS and BDS courses. The exam was conducted under strict security. The original edition of the paper, conducted on 3rd May 2015, was cancelled by the Supreme Court of India due to a high-tech cheating racket that was exposed. The syllabus of the exam remained the same as that of the previous one. A set of 180 questions were asked with a total marks of 720. The subject wise break-up was: Physics (45 Q), Chemistry (45 Q) and Biology including Zoology and Botany (90 Q).

AIPMT retest 2015 paper analysis

Subject-wise Paper Analysis:

Meritnation Experts feel that Biology was comparatively easier as compared to Physics and Chemistry. While around 228 marks can be considered easy overall, 436 marks are moderately difficult and 56 marks are considered difficult by the Meritnation experts. Unlike the original paper, this time the question pattern followed the syllabus of NCERT. This paper can be rated as of a moderate difficulty level. Physics had tricky questions and many of the questions were also quite lengthy. This time, the Physics section also had many numerical based questions.


In Biology 21.1% of the questions were easy, 70% were of average difficulty level and 8.9% difficult.


In Physics 31.1% of the questions were easy, 62.2% were of average difficulty level and 6.7% difficult.


In Chemistry 53.3% of the questions were easy, 40% were of average difficulty level and 6.7% difficult.
