Meritnation|Jul 6th, 2020 09:30pm

The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to declare the Class 12th Board exam results on July 15th. CBSE informed the Supreme court about the latest update.

All the class 12 students eagerly waiting for the CBSE Results 2020 should keep a close eye on the official website of the board – http://www.cbse.nic.in/

Candidates are required to log in by using their roll number, school number, center code, and admit card ID to check their respective results.

The board examinations 2020 started from February 15 and were scheduled to continue till the end of March. However, the board had to cancel some of the exams due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering this, CBSE will give a choice to class 12th students to appear for optional exams to improve their scores.

Here’s the official notice from CBSE board authorities:

“Results will now be declared following an alternate assessment scheme. Class 12 students will get an option to appear for exams later to improve their score. However, for students who chose to sit for exams, their marks in the exams will be treated as the final score,” Sanyam Bhardwaj (Joint Secretary CBSE) said in the official notification.”
“Class 10 students will not get the chance to appear for improvement exam. Their result declared by the board shall be treated final,” he added.

How to get the mark sheet and pass certificate this year?

Every year class 10 and 12 students are provided with both hard copy and soft copy of their mark sheets and pass certificates. CBSE passes them to the schools, and students then collect their mark sheets and pass certificates from their respective schools and institutes.

But this year, due to the pandemic, getting hard copies from the schools is neither safe nor recommended. Thus, students can get their CBSE mark sheet and pass certificate through Digi locker.
Students can get their DigiLocker username via SMS with credentials on their registered mobile number.

Steps to get the digital mark sheet through DigiLocker:

Download the app and log in using the provided username and Password

Go to ‘Profile’ and sync the Aadhaar number, if the same hasn’t been done while signing up

Click on ‘Pull Partner Documents’

There will be two drop-down menus on the next screen

From the first one, select ‘Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi’

From the next one, select ‘Mark sheet (HSC/SSC)’, ‘Migration certificate’ or ‘Passing certificate’ etc

Enter the required details, like the year of passing and roll number, into the next screen

The Mark sheet/ Certificate for CBSE 12th Result 2020 will be downloaded. Students can save the document in DigiLocker account by clicking on the ‘Save to locker’ button.
