Finally the long drawn wait is over! CBSE has declared the results for CBSE Class 10 exams today (27th of May, 2015.) This year, over 13.73 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams, which is a 3.37% hike over last year.The number of boys and girls was 8,17,941 and 5,55,912 respectively. The CBSE Class 10 exams were held in the months of March and April.

Procedure to Check CBSE Class 10 Board Exam Results 2015

 

WEBSITE

  • 1. Visit www.cbseresults.nic.in/

  • 2. Click on Class 10 Results link

  • 3. After that enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth, then click Submit

  • 4. Results can be downloaded by clicking Save and get a Printout by clicking on Print button

CBSE 10th Result can be accessed by dialling 24300699 (Delhi), 011-24300699 (other parts of the country). MTNL subscribers can call 28127030 (Delhi) and 011-28127030 (other parts of the country).

How is CGPA Calculated

Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA): The average of Grade Points obtained in all the subjects (excluding additional 6th subject) as per Scheme of Studies. Sum of all the Grade Points (GP) of each subject must be divided by 5. If the student needs to find overall indicative percentage of marks, simply multiply CGPA with 9.5. (9.5xCGPA). To calculate subject wise indicative percentage of marks= 9.5x GP of the subject.

What happens you have failed in a main subject but passed in an additional subject?

The student is considered to have passed. However, a student who has appeared for the Secondary School Examination, but obtained Grades E1 or E2 in any or all the five main subjects (excluding the 6th additional subject) under Scholastic Area A is eligible to improve his/her performance. He or she can improve performance in any or all five subjects and may reappear at the only chance of Improvement of Performance conducted by the Board or the School in July. Students who have passed may also re-appear for Upgradation of Performance in one or more subjects in the main examination in the succeeding year only.

About CBSE Results

CBSE Board has witnessed rapid growth and expansion in Secondary education resulting in improved quality and standard of education in institutions. Earlier, the jurisdiction of the CBSE Board was confined only to Ajmer, Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh later. In 1952, the constitution of the CBSE Board was amended wherein its jurisdiction was extended to part-C and Part-D territories and the Board was given its present name ‘Central Board of Secondary Education’.
