CBSE Class 10 Social Science: Board Paper Solutions & Analysis

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science Board exam for 2018 was conducted on 22nd March. Our experts at Meritnation have analysed the paper in detail for you. Read on to get a detailed analysis as well as solutions to the question paper for Class 10 Social Science.

The paper was of 80 marks and questions were asked from the whole syllabus, except the chapters ‘Popular Struggles & Movements’ and ‘Forest and Wildlife Resources’. There was an option between two chapters: Nationalism in Europe and Indo-China. The paper consisted of 26 questions and marks distribution for the four subjects (History, Civics, Geography and Economics) was equal, i.e. 20 marks each. All the questions were asked from NCERT itself. It was an AVERAGE paper to attempt. The paper wasn’t too lengthy, but the History answers took a while to write. Most of the questions asked in the Social Science paper this year were available on Meritnation’s Ask and Answer platform.
