Meritnation|Mar 5th, 2020 07:08pm

CBSE has successfully conducted the Class 12 Accountancy Board Exam on 5th March 2020.

According to our subject experts at Meritnation, the paper was largely straightforward, relatively easy, barring a few tricky questions. Overall the paper was average and well-balanced. The level of difficulty was between easy to moderate.

A few one mark concept-based questions were challenging, but those who understood the concepts thoroughly would have had no difficulty in attempting those questions and would be able to score good marks. The paper was lengthy, as some objective type questions based on Accounting theories demanded extra time and effort and therefore, completing the entire paper might have been a challenge for few students.

Questions like Q 11, 15, & 17 were a little tricky and required high order thinking skills. Out of a total of 23 questions, 17 questions were easy and direct, 13 were average and 2 questions were of above-average level.

With respect to the difficulty level (in terms of marks), around 31.25% of the paper was easy, more than 53% of the questions were average and approx 15% was difficult.

On comparing 2020’s paper with last year’s, it was observed that this year’s paper had more objective type questions. However, the difficulty level was maintained.
