CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Results Declared!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is has declared the Class 12 results for 2015. The much awaited results, for which 10.29 lakh students appeared, has put a lot of anxious students out of their misery.

Students can get their results at www.results.nic.inwww.cbseresults.nic.inwww.cbse.nic.in and also through SMS and Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).

This year total number of candidates that appeared for the exam this year is 10,29,874. Out of these, the total number of boys are 6,03,064 and the total number of girls are 4,26,810.

This year also saw an increase of 9.32 % of students that appeared for the examination as compared to last year. The board has advised schools under the Delhi region to collect the results from the office of the respective zonal office of deputy director of education after the declaration of the results.

About CBSE Results

CBSE Board has witnessed rapid growth and expansion in Secondary education resulting in improved quality and standard of education in institutions. Earlier, the jurisdiction of the CBSE Board was confined only to Ajmer, Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh later. In 1952, the constitution of the CBSE Board was amended wherein its jurisdiction was extended to part-C and Part-D territories and the Board was given its present name ‘Central Board of Secondary Education’. It was in the year 1962 finally that CBSE Board was reconstituted. The main objectives were to serve the educational institutions more effectively, to be responsive to the educational needs of those students whose parents were employed in the Central Government and had frequently transferable jobs.
