The Central Board of Secondary Education has planned to introduce a vocational course for Financial Marketing Management for classes 9 and 10, starting with the 2015-16 session.

Students in the course will study Basics of Money Management in Class 9 and Introduction to Financial Markets in Class 10. Being a vocational course, FMM will be taught under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) at Level I and Level II and students will be instructed by professionals. The Board plans to collaborate with the National Stock Exchange. The basic aim for the introduction is the development of practical employability skills in students for BFSI industry.

cbse Financial Market Management Course

In 2007, a joint certificate course had been introduced at the senior secondary school level, which is for classes 9th to 12th, with collaboration between CBSE and NSE. A lot of colleges and universities have already been offering BBA and MBA in Finance Markets, something that gives students the convenience to pursue further studies in the course.

The students of FMM will study two subjects in class 9 and 10, with 200 periods each. The exam will be a total of 100 marks, 60 of which go to theory and 40 for practical. Students will practice on various modules of NSE Learn to Trade (NLT), which is a web-based market simulation software.

NSE will conduct an online examination for this exam. The course is significant owing to the acute shortage of trained professionals in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) industry.
