Class 10 Board Exams for CBSE students from Next Academic Session

students-09Central government decides to reintroduce compulsory Class 10 Board examinations for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students. Union Human Resources Development Minister, Prakash Javdekar said in Jaipur on Tuesday.

Around 2.5 crore children under the CBSE will sit for board exams in Class 10 from the next academic session. “We will implement it from the 2017-2018 session. Not this year or in the next two months. The final decisions will be announced soon, it is under final consideration,” Mr. Javadekar said.

Javdekar also said that State governments will be given authority to reintroduce Class 5 and 8 board examinations, a proposal for which will be tabled in the Cabinet and then in the Parliament. The main focus of the HRD ministry is to improve the quality of school education, specifically of government schools, he added.

    Oh no ! I did not want board exams to happen .It creates more pressure on students .I am in Class 8 right now .It should be made optional .
