Good News for all IIT Aspirants ! The controversial ‘percentile system’ that decides students’ eligibility for admissions into the IITs is set to change. Students scoring 75% or above in their Class XII exams will be eligible for a seat in the IIT after clearing the JEE (Advanced). The IITs now want the centre to allow students with 75% and above in boards where the earlier cut-off for top 20 percentile was more than 75%.

In the March exam, CBSE had a cut-off of 83.2% and ISC, 85%. Only students with a score above these percentages were eligible for a seat in the IITs after clearing the JEE (Advanced).
