BD is the perpendicular frm B on AC. The circle through B, C, D is drwan. Construct the tangents from A to this circle.

Hi,

Why do we take the sum of the ratio given to divide a line segment

for e.g

To divide a line segment AB in ratio 2/5 we take seven points

but in making the triangle we take the ratio directly

for eg: to make a triangle with 3/5 of the sides of the given triangle we take 5 points.

Draw a pair of tangents to a circle or radius 3 cm which are inclined to each other at an angle of 60 degree.

Draw a triangle ABC with side BC=6cm,AB=5cm & angle ABC=60' . Then construct a triangle with sides 3/4 of the corresponding sides of the triangle ABC.

Draw a circle of radius 6cm. draw a tangent to the circle making 30degree with the line passing through the centre. measure the lenght of the tangent.

Can someone plz tell me the steps of construction to do this??
