Manjula Nayak gets ready for the screen
The play unfolds in a television studio with a large plasma screen on one side and a chair and table on the other. The protagonist, Manjula Nayak, walks onto the stage and sits on the chair. She comes adjusting a lapel mike. She appears to be speaking to the production manager or director on the other end of her earpiece. She speaks and laughs easily as if she is quite used to giving such interviews.
