Q.Draw a view of each solid as seen from the direction indicated by the arrow. How to find faces, vertices, edges etc of the shape?

Dice are cubes with dots on each face. Opposite faces of a die always have a total of seven dots on them.

Here are two nets to make dice (cubes); the numbers inserted in each square indicate the number of dots in that box.

Insert suitable numbers in the blanks, remembering that the number on the opposite faces should total to 7.

A wooden cube is painted blue on all sides. It is cut into 64 smaller cubes of equal size. Then:

a. How many cubes have no face painted?

b. How many cubes have only one face painted?

c. How many cubes have two blue opposite faces?

HOW TO DRAW AN OBLIQUE SKECTH OF THE LETTER L

Hi,

is it nesseccary that when a solid is cut(cross-section),it should form the same shape.if it is,then why is it different in the cross section of a cylinder?!!!when it is cut vertically it's plane face obtained is a rectangle, and when it is cut horizontally it's plane face obtained is a circle.

A cube is taken and painted with yellow, blue and green colours on opposite faces. It is now cut into 64 smaller cubes of equal size. how maany cubes do not have any colour on them:

1) 64 2)27 3)8 4)1

Solution given:

There are 8 cubes which donot have any colour on them.

This question was asked in the model test paper (olympiad) test paper no.2 qno.13.

Please elaborate the solution .
