Q. A micrometer screw gauge has a negative error of 0.008 cm. While measuring the diameter of a wire, the reading on the main scale is 3 divisions and the 24th circular scale division coincides with the baseline. If the number of divisions on the main scale are 20 and circular scale has 100 divisions, calculate the:
(a) pitch of the screw gauge. [Ans. 0.1 cm]
(b) least count of the screw gauge. [Ans. 0.001 cm]
(c) observed diameter of the wire. [Ans. 0.174 cml
(d) corrected diameter of the wire. [Ans. 0.182 cm]
Will you please show me the full process of solving this question by doing it on a paper,. On a paper I am saying so that when you will cancel this numbers for dividing I will be able to make out that from which table of number are you dividing it or taking out square root of it or multiplying it whatever you will do I will come to know that how to solve it and then only I will be able to get relief and will give you relief but understanding it at once and by not asking it again from you lovely, dearly and good people's so please will you do that please
[Ans. a. 0.837 cm, b. 0.555 cm]
