    Hi,
Some differences between jute and cotton are as follows-
    ·  Jute is grown in sandy and clayey loams &also alluvial soil found near flood plains &deltas of river
Cotton grown in sandy soil needs a soil pH of 5.5. Lighter sandy soil is best for cotton production.
    ·  Cotton is obtained from the fruit of the cotton plant while jute is obtained from the stem of the jute plant.
    ·  Also there is a difference in the tensile strength of jute and cotton.Jute fibres are stronger than cotton fibres.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!
