Why was magadha kingdom known as empire

    Dear Student,

An 'Empire' is a large group of countries or states together ruled over by a single king or by a sovereign state.

In the above-mentioned perspective, Magadha was the state which ruled extensively on the present-day states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and the areas that are today the nations of Bangladesh and Nepal.

    Regards,
