  1. Nitrogenous base
  2. Pentose sugar
  3. Phosphate group
  • Nucleoside contains a nitrogenous base linked to pentose sugar.
  • Two types of nitrogenous bases –

  2. Pyrimidine – Cytosine, uracil and thymine
