Q. PLEASE CHECK THIS DATA INTERPRETATION TOPIC.
1.Deeksha Joshi conducted the following survey as part of her project on the various modes of public transport.using the information given below, write a data interpretaition on the topic ''the various modes of public transport''.Give valid suggestions wherever required.
THE VARIOUS MODES OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The graph shows the preferences of people on various modes of public transport for a time period of 6 years. In 1996,there has been more number of passengers in Bus which is 400 million. In Railways it is 300 million which is approximately same as Bus.In Airlines the bar is very less about 149 million. So it seems to be not the much used public transport in 1996.There has been a steep decrease in Bus transport from 1996 to 1997 which is 325 million. In Railways,it is 300 million which is quite same as Bus.In Airlines the passengers travelling are 150 million. In 1998 the passengers travelling in Bus are 300 million whose level has decreased from 1996 and 1997.In Railways,it is also 300 million so it is same as Bus.In Airlines it is 175 million. In 1999 passengers travelling in Bus is 325 million. The number of passengers travelling in Railways is 240 million. In Airlines the number of passengers are 190 million. Now,in the last two years,In 2000,the passengers travelling in Bus are 325 million. In Railways it is 240 million. In Airlines the number of passengers are 190 million.in 2001,the  number of passengers travelling in Bus are 375 million. In Railways, the number of passengers are 190 million. So,as far as the data is concerned, there has been always a more number of passengers travelling in Bus than any other public transport. We can see from the data that passengers of Bus in 1996-400 million,1997-325 million,1998-300 million,1999-325 million,2000-325 million,2001-375 million. So,the number of passengers in Bus are approximately equal to each other. Now in terms of Railways, the number of passengers in 1996-300 million,1997-300 million,1998-300 million,1999-240 million,2000-240 million.2001-240 million. So it is the second most public transport for people. In the first three years the passengers are same(300 million) and in the next three years the passengers are same(240 million). The last public transport is Airlines whose number of people in different years are calculated :-i.e.1996-149 million,1997-150 million,1998-175 million.1999-190 million,2000-190 million,2001-190 million. It is not the most public transport used by people as the bar is comparatively less.In Conclusion to this project, the reason for the increase in Bus and   Rail transport is because of the less fares and it is affordable by all. Also, the reason behind the decrease in the Airlines transportation is because the fares are very costly so oit is not affordable by all only some can afford it.
