NEET BDS Admission 2019 - cut off lowered as seats go vacantIn a relief to dental course aspirants, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) in consultation with the Dental Council of India (DCI) has lowered qualifying NEET cutoff for BDS course by nearly 10 percentile for all categories.

As per the marks scored by the candidates in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test the qualifying percentiles or the cut-offs for the BDS courses have been lowered for admission to undergraduate dental courses being offered in the country The general category students will be able to seek admission with minimum 40 percentiles for the BDS UG courses. Similarly, the qualifying marks for SC, ST and OBC categories would be 30, while for PwD category people, the cut-off required to clear exam would now be 35 percentile.  

Following the lowering of BDS Admission Cutoffs 2019, NTA has also been asked to announce revised results as per the lowered qualifying percentiles. However, the exact date and other details related to have not been declared yet.

New candidates who would now be considered qualified (as per the new cut-off) will have to register for counseling at the official website of Medical Council Committee (MCC) – mcc.nic.in. The registration will be open from September 12 and will close on September 13, 10 am. Candidates can avail the payment facility till noon of September 12. Students will have to report for admission or claiming the vacant seats from September 13 to 15.

Over 15 lakh candidates registered for the NEET examination this year, of which 14,10,755 students appeared in the exam and a total of 7.97 lakh could clear the medical-dental entrance exam.
