JEE Main 2020 Exam Date Released

JEE Main 2020 Exam Dates ReleasedNational Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2020 Exam Dates. The exam is conducted in two shifts every year. NTA announced that the first attempt will be conducted from January 6 (Monday) to January 11 (Saturday), 2020 and the second attempt will be conducted between 3rd April (Friday) and 9th April (Thursday) 2020.
The candidates who wish to appear for the exam can fill the application form available on the official website of National Testing Agency from 3rd Sept 2019 till 30th Sept 2019. The fee payment can be done up to 1st October 2019(Tuesday).

The JEE Main exam is conducted to provide admission in NITs, IITs and other centrally funded institutions, etc. It is conducted in two parts i.e. Paper 1 for B. E./B. Tech. and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning. The exam will be conducted through the “Computer Based Test” (CBT) Mode only, except the Drawing Test for B.Arch. which will be held in “Pen & Paper” (offline) mode.

The candidates who wish to take admission to the UG programs at IITs for the year 2020 will have to appear in B. E. /B. Tech. paper of JEE (Main)-2020. Based on their performance in the B.E./B. Tech. exam of JEE (Main)-2020, the top candidates, as per the eligibility criteria, will appear for the JEE (Advanced) 2020. Admission to IITs is based on category -wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE(Advanced), subject to the conditions as would be mentioned in JEE(Advanced)-2020 Website.

There will be a separate notice, which will be issued later, for the students appearing for the April JEE(Main)-2020. The candidates will be required to apply separately for the exam. However, it’s not compulsory for the candidates to appear in both the test attempts i.e. January JEE(Main)-2020 and April JEE(Main)-2020. In case, a candidate appears in both the tests, the better of the two scores will be used for the admissions and eligibility of JEE(Advanced)-2020. 

Post Exam Schedule:

After the completion of the first attempt of the JEE Main exam, the answer key will get released in January 2020. Candidates will be able to challenge the answer key until January 2020.
NTA will declare the results of JEE Main on 31st January 2020 for Paper I (B.Tech). Paper-II (B.Arch) result will also be released in online mode. The result for the second session will be released on April 30, 2020. The counseling process will start from the 3rd week of June 2020.
