NEET 2020 – registration process begins

As per a notification released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the online registration/ application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 has started from 2nd December 2019. Aspiring candidates can now apply for NEET 2020 and the last date to apply is December 31, 2019. To apply, candidates are required to visit the official website – ntaneet.nic.in and fill up the registration form.

Steps to register for NEET 2020

Step 1: Go to ntaneet.nic.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Online submission for application for NEET 2020’
Step 3: Click on ‘new registration’
Step 4: Fill in the details and click and ‘submit’ the form
Step 5: Pay the registration fee

As per the recent amendment, candidates who wish to enroll for MBBS courses in AIIMS, JIMPER and other affiliated medical institutes in India, will need to register for NEET to get admission. As per the notification, NEET (UG) will be the admission criteria to study undergraduate medical courses in the above mentioned medical courses.
Not only this, there’s one more development – NEET (UG) 2020 will now be conducted in 11 languages namely – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Candidates can opt to take the examination in one of the eleven languages specified.

Last date to submit application – 31st December 2019
Application correction window – 15th – 31st January 2020
Admit card release date – 27th March 2020
Date of exam – 3rd May 2020
Date of result – 4th June 2020

Application Fees
General candidates – Rs. 1500/-
General EWS & OBC-NCL candidates – Rs. 1400/-
SC, ST, PwD& Transgender candidates – Rs. 800/-
Fee payment can be done through online mode only using debit/credit card, net banking, UPI & Paytm.
