JEE Main 2020 Postponed due to COVID-19In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, the National Testing Agency has issued an official notice postponing the JEE Main April exam that was scheduled for 5, 7, 9 and 11 April 2020.

The agency will announce new exam dates on 31st March 2020 on the official websites nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in. The admit card, which was scheduled to be released on 20th March has also been delayed to 31st March.

The JEE Main April 2020 has been postponed keeping in mind the rescheduling of Class 12 CBSE Board exams 2020 due to COVID-19. Many students who will be appearing for the CBSE board exams would also be appearing for the JEE Main April exam 2020. To avoid any clashes between the two exams, NTA has decided to delay the exam.

HRD secretary, Amit Khare said, “Since JEE mains may require travel by examinees to different towns and the dates may clash with rescheduled CBSE and other board exams, therefore JEE Mains should be rescheduled and the new date will be announced on March 31 after reassessment of the situation.”
