CBSE Makes Aadhaar Compulsory for Board Exam Registration

aadhar card board examThe Central Board of Secondary Education has made it compulsory for students appearing for Board exams to mention their Aadhaar numbers during their exam registration. The Board announced this requirement in a circular released on September 26.

 

CBSE has begun the process for online registrations for Board exams for class 9 and 11 and recommends that all affiliated CBSE schools register students online upon submitting the necessary documents. In case Aadhaar number is not available, Aadhaar enrollment number should be entered in the dedicated field. In case of states without Aadhaar provisions, bank details need to be filled in.

 

The circular mentions that all affiliated schools should register themselves before commencing online submission, using the affiliation number and password already made available to them. Schools newly affiliated to CBSE can obtain the same at their concerned regional offices. The board has also made the Aadhaar number compulsory for JEE, NEET and UGC NET in the recent past.
