JEE Advanced 2015 on 24th May. Are you ready?

JEE Advanced 2015 is scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 24th. The online registration for this examination was available from May 2 to May 7, 2015. The registration is closed now.

The latest news on JEE Advanced 2015 official website says that Admit Card download schedule has been changed. The admit card for this exam is available from May 18 at 10:00 a.m. till May 23, 2015 by 5:00 p.m. Candidates can download the hall ticket at jeeadv.iitm.ac.in . Candidates should download the card before the given dates.

Once the admit card is downloaded, candidates should check the card completely. It should have your Name, Centre, Roll Number and other important details. In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, candidates need to contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2015 of the respective Zonal IIT between May 18 from 10:15 a.m. to May 20, 2015 till 5:00 p.m.

A copy of the downloaded admit card must be produced at the time of examination. The original JEE Advanced 2015 admit card will be issued to the candidate during Paper 1 examination. Candidates should safe keep the original admit card till all the formalities of admission are complete.

In case the candidate is not able to download the card or the admit card is not available in the JEE Advanced portal, they are advised to contact Zonal IIT through phone, email or fax instantly.

A glimpse of what should you do to crack JEE Advanced in one month

  • Solve at least 2-3 question papers per week
  • Try to focus on topics whose questions you skipped while solving the question papers
  • Stress more on chapters that are easier and could bring more marks
  • Do not discuss your preparation or mock test performance with your peers
  • Do not panic if you are not able to solve a particular question; instead practice the topic(s) again.

Tip # 1 – You should try to solve at least 10-12 sample papers within the last one month you have. It will help you improve your problem solving ability, speed and accuracy. You should try to solve at least 2 question papers every week within the stipulated time. Solving question papers is the great practice/revision strategy.

Tip # 2 – One should try to solve question papers in real time. While solving the paper you should keep a watch with you and try to finish the paper within the stated time. Your mock test environment should be exactly similar to the actual exam.

Tip # 3 – After you finish solving the paper and cross verifying your answers, make sure you note your final score, number of questions attempted and unattempted, number of questions correct and incorrect and time taken to solve the entire paper. This will help you gauge your performance over the weeks and highlight the areas where you should focus more to score well in the exam.

Tip # 4 – You should compare solved examples with your solution (used while solving the sample paper) and use the best method to solve a question accurately and quickly. Make note of the correct solution for attempting every question correctly.
