JEE Main 2018 Results (Paper 1) Declared on 30 April; Here are Cut-offs & Top Ranks

JEE MAIN 2018 results

The results for Paper 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination for 2018 were announced b CBSE on 30th April. Suraj Krishna Bhogi from Andhra Pradesh was declared the topper for Paper 1. While he was sure he did well, Krishna says he did not expect to bag rank 1. The JEE Main topper aspires to join IIT Bombay.

Around 1.13 million candidates appeared for the JEE Main 2018 entrance. Around 2,31,024 candidates cleared the exam to the next level, which is a jump from 2017’s 2,20,000.

Here’s a list of the top 10 rank holders in the JEE Main result:

  1. Bhogi Suraj Krishna from Andhra Pradesh
  2. KVR Hemant Kumar Chodipilli
  3. Parth Laturia from Rajasthan
  4. Pranav Goyal from Haryana
  5. Gattu Mytraya from Telangana
  6. Pawan Goyal from Rajasthan
  7. Bhaskar Arun Gupta from Rajasthan
  8. Bakarapu Bharath from Andhra Pradesh
  9. Simranpreet Singh Saluja from Delhi
  10. Gosula Vinayaka Srivardhan from Telangana


Here’s how you can check your JEE Main result

  1. Visit the official pages: cbseresults.nic.in or jeemain.nic.in
  2. Enter your registration number/roll number, name and date of birth. Click on submit. Your result will be displayed on the screen
  3. Download and take a printout of your JEE Main result for future reference

The cut-off marks for JEE Mains 2018:

  • Common Rank List: 74
  • Other Backward Class (OBC – NCL): 45
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 29
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 24
  • PwD: -35

The results for JEE Main Paper II are expected to be announced on May 1. JEE Advanced 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on May 20, 2018, the registration process for which will start from May 2, 2018.
