JEE Main Preparation Tips

The JEE Main exam is the beginning of your journey to becoming an engineer. The key factor is starting early in your journey so that you succeed easy-breezy and stay focused. Let’s look at few tips and tricks to get you ahead in the race towards JEE Main 2016:

1. Cook up a Plan
Devise a plan and be dedicated towards it. Chalk out a timetable which works for you and spend quality time on each subject.

2. Develop Streamline Thinking Capabilities
Streamlined thinking will allow you to tackle each question as per its needs. Being able to develop this quality will help you to practice and answer even the most complex questions without getting hassled.

3. Identify Your Strengths and Weaknesses
Spot your weak areas soon and practice questions based on them. You can ignore certain weaknesses if they are not important from exam point of view and improve your strengths.

4. Go Online and Source Additional Study Material
If you feel that you have have already studied all that there was from textbooks, go one level higher and take help from online sources. The web holds several keys for students looking for additional study material like online tutorials on complex topics, practice papers, sample papers, online tests and much more. Make use of these resources to create an innovative and helpful study schedule.

5. Clear Your Doubts
Talk to your tutor/mentor or peers and find help. Clearing this stumbling block as soon as possible will help you understand your study pattern and what difficulty areas.

6. Practice Previous Years’ Papers
A thorough look at past papers will make you aware of the pattern and transition in the questions. Has the difficulty level increased or decreased? Any new additions? You’ll find it yourself.

7. Increase Your Speed
JEE Main is one of the toughest exams to crack and time management is of great essence here. Practicing as many numericals as possible will help you increase your speed. You can challenge yourself and increase the number as you like.

8. JEE Advanced As Your Goal
Be passionate about becoming an IITian. Notch up your enthusiasm and be focused about it.

9. Take a Chill Pill
The phrase ‘All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy’ fits this situation. You can’t study continuously for tenacity. Hit your Refresh button and rejuvenate while listening to music, playing a sport or watching a movie.

10. Take Care of Your Health
You can’t miss or ignore this tip. Eat healthy, get adequate sleep, get some exercise and make way for ample rest in your study schedule!
