NEET 2017 Results Delayed; Lifting of Madras High Court Order Awaited

neet 2017 result postponed (1)The wait for medical aspirants isn’t over yet as the results for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017, which were to be declared on 8th of June, have been delayed. As informed by CBSE, this delay was due to Madras High Court order which was still in place.

Reason for the delay

Madras HC gave an order for the NEET results to be delayed, acting on a petition filed by some students in Madurai. The students had certain complaints regarding controversies caused during the exam. They alleged that the exam wasn’t held in a uniform manner as the difficulty levels of the questions asked in the NEET paper in English and those in Hindi & other regional languages wasn’t the same. They also claimed that the question paper was leaked in some states. There were also cases of cheating and dress code harassment.

Looking forward to no more delays

CBSE further informed that it will take at least 15 days to declare the result once HC’s stay order is lifted. Any further delays can cause unnecessary anxiety and can jeopardize the future of lakhs of medical aspirants across the country.
