1) why does the poet call the snake one of the 'lords of life'?

2)why does the poet call his sin a 'pettiness'?"

this questions are from the poen 'snake'

1) The poet calls the snake-'one of the lords of life' because the life of man depends upon its mercy.

2) The snake did not harm the poet in any way. But the poet heard the voice of his education and threw a stick at the snake. Hence, he feels guilty of his deed and so he calls his sin a 'pettiness'.

hope it helps!
