Calpurnia is the wife of Julius Caesar. She cannot bear him children, but is very affectionate towards her husband. Calpurnia, a noble Roman lady, is concerned about her husband's safety. She dreams of a statue of Caesar bleeding from multiple wounds and does not want him to go out on a particular night. Though Caesar agrees to stay at home on her request, Decius ultimately convinces him to go to the Capitol, and thus Julius Caesar dies. Calpurnia is unable to save her husband.
