can the physical balance measure both mass and weights??

give a reason !!!

Hi,
Weight is defined as the mass times acceleration due to gravity.
Physical balance is an instrument in which we compare weight of an unknown quantity with a known quantity. Since weight is related to mass as mass times gravity and gravity is constant (for practical purpose), therefore, during comparison we actually measure both the quantities. Hence, we can say that physical balance measures mass and weight.
Hope this helps,
Good luck.
