Can we solve two equations with three variables. Pls explain with example say for example, a+2b+3c=-2 and 5a+b+4c=9

no.

if you have 3 variables, you need 3 independant equations

  • 1

a+2b+3c=0 ..........1
and
-3a+2b+5c=0 ..........2

on solving 1and 2 u get

a=4

b=-14

c=8.

How was this then solved??

  • 0

by cross multiplication...u can solve it

a / 2*5 - 3 *2 = b / 3*(-3) - 5*1 = c / 2*1- 2* (-3)

then u will get

a = 4

b = -14

c= 8

  • 0

u can solve it by cross multiplication method....

example:  4a+6b+2c = 0

  3a+10b+5c =0

sol:  a/(6*5) - (2*10)  =  -b/ (4*5) - (2*3)  =  c/(4*10) - (6*3)

  a= 10  b= -14 c= 22
