can you plz give me the difference b/w potential and kinetic energy???

Hello,

The difference between kinetic energy and potential energy are

 Kinetic Energy Potential Energy
1) It is the energy of a body by virtue of its speed(motion) of the body.2) It is the energy of a body by virtue of the position and/or configuration of the object.

2) KE = 0.5mv2

Where m = mass of the object

v = speed of the object.

2)  PE = mgh

where m = mass of the object

g = acceleration due to gravity

h = height of the object from reference  level

@All  Good effort!

Potential energy is energy that has the potential to be moved. Kinetic energy is energy in motion. eg. Potential energy could be like a fire extinguisher that is on the wall it has the potential to fall on the ground . An example of Kinetic energy is would be a moving car, it is in motion

Kinetic energy is the energy in the movement.

Potential energy is stored energy, ready to be used.

K.E-motion energy
P.E-energy stored during displacement of springs that tend to restore to original position of spring

Kinetic energy- Energy that a body possesses by virtue of being in motion

Potential energy- The energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position relative to others, stresses within itself, electric charge, and other factors.

The energy posses by an object by virtue of its position is called its potential energy.

(Pe=mgh)

The energy posses by an object by virtue of its motion its called its kinetic energy.

(Ke=1/2mv2 )
