how do we calculate acceleartion from VELOCITY -TIME GRAPH ??

how do we calculate displacement from VELOCITY-TIME GRAPH??

In the above graph t(i) and t(f) are the initial and final times and v(i) and v(f) are initial and final velocities respectively.

Now acceleration = [v(f) - v(i)]/[t(f) - t(i)]  (which is rate of change of velocity)

secondly  displacement can be calculated by calculating the are under the v-t graph covered with x- axis

in the above graph displacement at v(f) and t(f) is a triangle ABO whose area can be calculated by using 

 Area = 1/2 OB * AB  which will be the desired displacement
