internal fertilization take place inside the female body but external fertilization take place out side the femal body. in internal fertilization female produce one egg at a time but in external fertilization female produce a large number of egg. in internal fertilization chances of offspring is more but in external fertilization chances of offspring is less. example of internal fertilization cow,human,dog etc.example of external fertilization frog,fish starfish.
