On reading the conversation between Gaston and Mrs. Smith one might even consider her to be quite rude. She doesn't care as to who built the house or to whom the picture belonged. She keeps on complaining about the manner in which Europeans carry out business transactions. She comes across as a headstrong, determined person. It is ironical to note that she is being fooled by a French man, belonging to the same class of "European people", she was quick to condemn, regarding their business acumen. Thus, Mrs. Al Smith represents the busy, successful, ambitious, yet to a certain extent brash American people.

Yes mrs al smith is the representative of american outlook as she was highly self opinioned, brusque, and a jingoist lady who used to work in films. She prejudiced against french people and has highly opinions about americans. but at end was out smarted by gaston who was a frenchmen.
