Explain briefly the role of computer in statistics

Statistics is all about collection and analysis of data. When we practically work with data in real life, its huge and complicated. So, here computers come handy to a statistician. Computers store data and analyses them as we want. Softwares like STATA, R, MINITAB etc. help us perform sampling experiments, regression correlation and so on. Statistics uses long and lengthy formulae which are already fed in the programmes and with computers the results are just a click away. Computers play a major role in Statistics.
