how does a thunderstorm becomes a cyclone

Thunderstorm is a stormy form of weather characterized by frequent lightning and the sound of its thunder. The cloud type associated with thunderstorm is the cumulonimbus. This kind of weather is generally accompanied by heavy rain or hail or sometimes no precipitation at all.

Cyclone is a tropical storm with winds blowing in large spiral around a relatively calm center known as 'eye'. It is formed over warm water. The eye can extend up to 50 Km and the hurricane may extend outward by hundreds of kilometer. Cyclones last from several hours to more than 2 weeks over open waters.

A very severe rotating thunderstorm can become a cyclone.

we know that water changes its state when heat is evolved , so before cloud formation , water takes up heat from the atmosphere to change into vapour..when water vapour changes back into liquids , in the from of rain drops , this heat is released into the air thus heating the surrounding air...now this warm air tends to rise and causes a drop in pressure. more air rushes to the centre of the storm..this cycle is repated..the chain of events results in the formation of very very low pressure system with high speed winds revolving around it..and thus a thunderstorm becomes cyclone...
